| Directions |
|
| |
- Place minced beef in a bowl and stir in the wheat meal until well mixed.
- Add chopped onion, sliced capsicum and seasonings.
- Grease an ovenproof casserole with the butter and put in the beef mixture in alternating layers with the cooked brown rice.
- Mix tomato sauce and water and pour over the top layer of beef.
- Cook gently for 30 minutes with the lid on the casserole, removing it for the last 10 minutes of cooking.
- This dish is open to adventurous variations and needs only an accompanying dish of greens to make it a balanced meal.
